Celebrations

2-hour workshop, including tour of house
£4.00 per student

Handel's music is full of energy, and he was particularly good at writing music that celebrates. This workshop takes Handel's festive music as an inspiration for a workshop that looks at how other cultures celebrate with music in the context of both religious and non-religious festivals. After listening to extracts of Handel's celebration music, students will make their own celebration carnival music using percussion instruments.
