A programme of mostly 18th-century North American harpsichord music by Alexander Reinagle, James Hewitt and Victor Pellesier and a selection from the first published American songs by Francis Hopkinson. European roots can be heard in these works as the composers struggled to find their own voice and new national identity. With Michelle Todd (soprano) and Julian Perkins (harpsichord).
