Kathleen Ferrier 2005 Award Winner Performs at Handel House

A chance to hear Anna Stéphany (mezzo-soprano), winner of the 1st prize in the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Awards 2005, with Julian Perkins (harpsichord).

Their programme of music will chart Handel's early musical influences while working as a young composer in Italy. It will include 'La Lucrezia', a dramatic cantata by Handel, which will showcase Anna's expressive range, and solo harpsichord music by Scarlatti.

This is a wonderful chance to hear Anna sing in the unique and intimate setting of Handel's own performance and rehearsal room.

Handel House provides a performance platform for talented students and young professionals like Anna, in a popular weekly recital series entitled Thursday Live. The House also offers many other varied live music events throughout the year.
